Located near the entrance from the ECQ Social Corner, close to the kids playground and Sir Manong’s restaurant, this modern parent room at Eastern Creek Quarter stands out as a very thoughtfully designed parent room facility. The attention to detail and family-focused features make this a genuine standout.

🅿️ Parking
Eastern Creek Quarter offers all-day free parking with accessible parking conveniently located at all entry points. The location of the parent room is easy to find and easy to access, especially during busy shopping periods.
🤱 The Nursing Room Setup
The nursing area here is one of my favourites. 2 feeding areas with full-length curtains for privacy and a full wall between them, giving you proper privacy and sound separation from the other parent/caret next-door. The motion-sensor lights turn on automatically when you enter, so other visitors know that the feeding room is taken, without accidentally walking in on you.
Each feeding room has toddler activity toys attached to the wall to keep older children occupied, plus 3 hooks for hanging your belongings – nappy bags, handbags, jackets, whatever you need to keep off the floor. You can also find a footrest to go along with the nursing chair – which is my only qualm in this room. The wooden armchair makes for somewhat of an uncomfortable feed.
Space inside each feeding area is generous enough to fit a regular size stroller, which means you don’t have to leave it outside. A shared high chair is available between both rooms. What really sets this setup apart is the duress button you can press if there’s an emergency or if you need help – a safety feature that shows genuine care for visitors’ wellbeing.
Beyond the private rooms, there’s additional seating with a table in the corner for families who need a quick feed break or have multiple children to manage. This flexible space works well for different family situations.

🔁 Changing Area
3 stationary change tables provide plenty of options. In the same counter, a nappy bin, a handwash dispenser and a sink can be found, making cleanup very efficient. The sink has an interesting slope design that seems purpose-built for dealing with messier nappy situations – thoughtful planning for real-life parenting moments.
There’s even a spare electric outlet in the corner of the changing area, handy for bottle warmers or charging mobile phones and other equipment.

🫧 Kitchen and Toilet
The kitchenette is well-equipped with a sink, bin, paper towel, handwash, and microwave, covering all your feeding preparation and cleanup needs.
The parent and child toilet features matching sink heights for both adults and children, making it easier for toddlers to wash their hands independently. The tiling is adorable with alphabet designs and Australian nature and wildlife themes – functional and fun for children. The space is consistently clean and well-maintained.

🛝Toddler Play Zone
The gated play zone offers plenty of space for toddlers to move around safely. Spare ottomans provide comfortable seating for caretakers to supervise while relaxing.

💭 Final Thoughts
Eastern Creek Quarter’s parent room sets an impressive standard with its modern, clean, and genuinely thoughtful design. The nursing area with motion-sensor lights, duress button, and generous space for strollers shows real understanding of parent needs. The 3 change tables with that clever sloped sink, the well-equipped kitchenette, and the spacious gated play area all work together to create a facility that makes family outings easier. The fun design elements throughout – from the wildlife-themed tiles to the activity toys – keep children engaged while you handle care duties. This is the kind of parent room that makes you wish every shopping centre put this much thought into their facilities.
